What is speed puzzling?
- Can you really compete in jigsaw puzzles?
- Yes, you can! Jigsaw puzzle sport is a rapidly growing hobby for the whole family.
The official competition discipline is speed puzzling, which has had yearly World Championships since 2019. In speed puzzling, the target is to assemble a puzzle of 500 - 1000 pieces as fast as possible by a team of 1 - 4 competitors.
Finnish Championship 2027
2027 Finnish Jigsaw Puzzle Championships will be held on 3. - 4.4.2027 at Pasilan Urheiluhalli (Radiokatu 22, 00240 Helsinki).
The titles will be given in individual, pair and team categories. This time there will also be a children's category.
The puzzles for the competitions will be provided by Ravensburger.

Online competitions 2026
At the end 2026, Suomen palapeliurheiluliitto organises two beginner friendly online competitions. One of the competitions is an individual competition, and another one a pair competition.
In addition, one of these puzzles will be used in a maximum speed competition, which will be open for all, and can be practiced freely.
